About us

The Tick-Borne Disease Clinic team is based in the County of West Sussex, England. Our experienced team of nurse consultants are dedicated to offering the highest quality service in treating all tick-borne diseases.

Nurse-led Clinic

The nurse consultants have a high level of autonomy, experience and knowledge. With the ability to assess, diagnose and make treatment decisions (for example prescribing medications), establish patient-centred treatment and review/monitoring plans.

Nurse led clinics are increasing in the UK and have been shown to improve the patient experience and access to timely diagnosis, treatment and care.  Nurses with appropriate training and prescriber registration are able to prescribe through a variety of methods, including patient group directions (PGDs) and independent or supplementary nurse prescribing, provided this is within their scope of practice .

With their vast experience and knowledge, Reine and Georgia have established the TBD Clinic - one of the first nurse led clinic focusing on Tick-borne diseases and the co-infections thereof, including Lyme.

The TBD clinic uses the latest research and evidence base about this group of diseases, to ensure the very best outcomes for our patients. As such, all TBD Clinic Nurses are members of International Lyme and Associated Disease Society (ILADS).   ILADS membership enables nurses and clinicians to access comprehensive, research-based  guidelines and expert training for the management of these illnesses.

National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) guidelines will be utilised when clinically appropriate. following individual consultation and assessment.
